Boris’s ambition, drive, and vision have facilitated a progressive career in the private club racquets industry. Boris most recently served as the Director of Racquets at the Country Club of Fairfax, a club in Northern Virginia which has been honored as a Distinguished Emerald Club by BoardRoom Magazine. Prior to his time at the Country Club of Fairfax, Boris served as the Head Tennis and Paddle Professional at the prestigious Baltimore Country Club, a top 50 Platinum Club of America. Boris is heavily involved with the United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA) and currently serves as Vice President on the Mid-Atlantic Board of Directors as well as on numerous national committees through the USPTA. Boris’s professional accomplishments include being recognized as the 2015 U30 USPTA Mid-Atlantic Pro of the Year and as the 2018 and 2019 USPTA Virginia Pro of the Year. Boris is a regular contributor to Boardroom Magazine and Racquets Industry Magazine with articles regarding all aspects of a racquets program, and he hosted racquet conferences and certification workshops for current and future racquet professionals at his previous club. Boris is certified in Tennis, Platform Tennis, Pickleball, and Padel. Boris believes in an integrated racquets program where the sports of Tennis, Platform Tennis, and Pickleball complement each other to enhance each member's social opportunities, skill level, and overall enjoyment of their club experience. During his playing days, Boris was honored as a Division I All-American student-athlete for the University of Maryland Men’s Tennis Team, only the second player in school history to achieve that honor. Boris is scheduled to be inducted into the University of Maryland Athletics Hall of Fame in 2021. Boris obtained a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Maryland. He then continued his education receiving a Masters in Sports Management from Drexel University, followed by the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School to complete a Certificate Program in Business Foundations. On a personal note, Boris was born in Moscow, Russia and moved to the Philadelphia area when he was four years old. Boris grew up playing junior tennis tournaments in the area, including the International Grass Court Championships that PCC used to host. Most importantly, Boris loves daily, hands-on interaction with members and their guests and has a true passion for listening to members' needs and producing memorable racquets experiences
